Submarine Service budget
2003 Defence Budget Total expected costs for the submarine service in 2004 are 46 million Euro. But about only 23 million are costs directly made by the submarine service.

Days at sea
2003 Defence Budget The 'days at sea' stats for the Dutch submarines as listed in the 2004 national budget is as follows: 2002: 270 days, 2003 expected: 387 days (including about 93 days for Enduring Freedom missions), and 430 days at sea are estimated for 2004.
The estimated 200 days for 2002 seem a bit low since 280 days are listed for peace keeping missions alone.

Readiness Dutch Subs
2004 Defence Budget The readiness of Dutch subs (as listed in the 2004 defence budget) is as follows:
Immediately: 1 boat, short term: 2 boats and long term: 1 boat.
