?24 July 1915: K III is ordered.

15 July 1915: K III is laid down at the K.M. De Schelde shipyard in Vlissingen.

1919

12 Aug 1919: K III is launched.

1920

9 July 1920: K III is commissioned to the Royal Netherlands Navy.

9 July 1920 - 29 Nov 1922: K III is under the command of Ltz. I  .

4 Sep - 18 Dec 1920: K III leaves Vlissingen and sails via Ferrol, Algiers, Malta, Alexandria, Port Said, Suez Canal, Aden, Colombo, Padang and Tandjong Priok (Batavia/Jakarta) to Soerabaja. K III is the first Dutch submarine to make this trip unescorted.

18 Dec 1920: K III arrives in the Dutch East Indies.

29 Nov 1922 - 15 Jan 1925: K III is under the command of Ltz. I  .

1925

10 July 1925 - 12 June 1926: K III is under the command of Ltz. I  .

1926

10 July 1926 - 1 June 1929: K III is under the command of Ltz. II  / Ltz. I  .

1929

1 June - 15 July 1929: K III is under the command of Ltz. II  .

15 July - 1 Oct 1929: K III is under the command of Ltz. I  .

1930

According to his files he also commanded the K III, unfortunately the dates of this command are not in his files. But is was probably some time in 1930-31.

1 Sep - 26 Sep 1931: K III is under the command of Ltz. I  .

26 Sep 1931 - 10 Feb 1932: K III is under the command of ?

1932

10 Feb - 1 Nov 1932: K III is under the command of Ltz. I  .

1934

K III is decommissioned and scrapped in the Dutch East Indies.
