R&D Training for new Korean submarine program

Summer 2002 Nevesbu senior engineers gave an on-the-job training/design exercise for staff of the Hyundai Heavy Industries yard for their new Korean submarine program.

Nevesbu was asked by the HDW yard in Kiel, Germany, to set up a training program and carry out this training for the torpedo transport system of the U214 submarine.

During ten weeks all aspects in the design and engineering of a submarines torpedo transport installation were trained for the Korean engineers.

From concept design studies up to and including detail production drawings, and designing the torpedo transport system as a modular design were some of the training themes.
