In this first series the submarine Zeehond (3) picks-up an Mk 8 exercise torpedo (she just fired herself) The exercise torpedo has a red nose, which is the 'warhead' and is filled with 350 kg water. At the end of the torpedo run the water is 'blown', this increases the buoyancy so the torpedo floats to the surface  The nose is fluorescent red which eases the search for the torpedo.
