Dutch Submarines: new on this site in 1998

	2 Dec 1998	Added the special the story of Cor de Wolf, sole survivor of O 16. Also added a very nice picture to the K XIII page and a mystery picture to the Ivs page
	30 Oct 1998	Added several great pictures to the K I, K XII and the O 14 page. Also added some interesting facts about the fate of K XII and K XVIII.
	16 Oct 1998	Added several book titles (info provided by G.D. Horneman) and video titles (info provided by J.O. Pebesma) to the books & video page.
	26 Sep 1998	Added the special: Locating the Hr.Ms. Submarine O 16, which was lost in 1941 in the South China Sea. The article is written by A.P. Bussemaker, son of O 16's CO Ltz. I A.J. Bussemaker. The author also provided several unique photos of the operation.
	6 Sep 1998	Added the special Commanders of the Dutch Submarine Service.
	3 Sep 1998	Added the special Zwaardvis (2) photos. All these great photos were made by submariner Peter den Tek, former crewmember of Zwaardvis (2).
	21 Aug 1998	Included the link of the Unofficial homepage van Hr.Ms. Dolfijn (Dutch language) on the links page. This site was taken down in Dec 1999.
	21 Aug 1998	Added Commander ranks. The ranks of the commanders are now complete for the years 1906-1952.
	6 Aug 1998	Added the complete text of the JDW article about the possible export of Dutch Zwaardvis (2) class and two Moray 1400 class submarines to Egypt.
	29 July 1998	Added additional war patrol data (target tonnage, time of attack, torpedoes fired, position etc) to all boats that conducted war patrols in World War II. Data was added to the following pages: Dolfijn (1), K XII, K XIV, K XV, K XVI, K XVIII, O 16, O 19, O 21, O 22, O 23, O 24, and Zwaardvis (1).
	29 July 1998	Added a beautiful rendered image of Orzel to the Orzel class page.
	16 July 1998	Added a very nice picture of a 1942 Newsweek cover to the K XVII page.
		Finished adding data about special missions during W.W.II, like convoy duty, landing shore parties etc. Data was added to the following pages: Dolfijn (1), O 10, O 14, O 15, O 19, O 21, O 23, O 24, K XI, K XII, K XIV, K XV, Zeehond (1), Zwaardvisch,

		Removed information about the fate of K XII (added July 3rd). The data was correct, but was added to the wrong submarine.

	3 July 1998	Three really great pictures of Turkish submarines were added to the IvS engineer-office page.
	14 June 1998	Finished adding 'Commander info' to the boat histories.
		Added the book 'Meinesz - East Indies 1931' to the books page. The book describes the submarine voyages made by the Dutch DR. F.A. Vening Meinesz and the gravity anomalies he measured in the Indian Archipelago.
	10 June 1998	Added the books 'Fremantle's Secret Fleets' and 'Operations of the Fremantle Submarine Base 1942-1945' to the books page. The books are about the US, RN and Dutch submarines based at Fremantle during World War II.
		Added important text and data to the Polish Orzel class page. These submarines were designed and constructed by the Dutch in the 1930s.
	30 May 1998	Added a new page to the Export section. The page is about the Polish Orzel class submarines. These submarines were designed and constructed by the Dutch in the 1930s.
	20 May 1998	A new page has been added to the Export section. The page is about the IvS engineer-office. This German 'dummy' submarine design company set up shop in the Netherlands between the wars and designed submarines for several countries.
	18 May 1998	Added a page about the Chien Lung / Hai Lung type submarines. These Dutch submarines were exported to Taiwan in the 1980s.
	9 May 1998	Added a link to the online version of the magazine 'Alle Hens' to the link page. 'Alle Hens' is a magazine (Dutch language) about the Royal Netherlands Navy.
	6 May 1998	Added data and pictures to the O 15 page about the 'A/S training boat' duties of the O 15 for the RCN in Halifax.
		Created the Contributors page. On this page a 'thank you' to the people who contributed to this website. The link to this page can be found on the front-page.
	26 Apr 1998	Added the Pictures page. On this page you can find text links to all submarine pictures on this site
		Added the Torpedoes page, on this page you can find details of the torpedoes used by the Dutch submarine service. Unfortunately the data is very limited for some torpedo types.
