Uncle of T.H. de Meester (#3983),
Cousin of Mr. J.J.B. Bosch knight van Rosenthal (#1485) and A.L.E. Rambonnet (#1515).

On 12 May 1940 he guarded the transport, by armoured car, of Princess Juliana from 's-Gravenhage to IJmuiden.
 From where she would sail to the U.K. on a RN destroyer.
