Rating: Excellent.
Historian and author Michael Wilson, who commanded three submarines, provides an excellent account of submarine operations in the Indian Ocean during World II in "A Submariners’War".
The Indian Ocean was the only venue of collaboration between German, Italian and Japanese armed forces during the war. Their submarines were joined on that broad sea by opposing British and Dutch submarines, and on one occasion by a U.S. boat.
This is a well-told and well-illustrated history.
